Hi BHW members,

It's always suggested that we should use exact anchor text 1% or less than 1% in whole link profile.

Now for example if I've 300 links and I want to use exact anchor text in link,so can I make 3 links from the same anchor text or I've to use exact, partial,LSI or long tail KWs along with exact?

Thanks!

If you want to play it safe then yes, you are correct. I would say ~5% exact match anchors should be OK with the remainder made up of brand, raw URL, generic and LSI variations. I've seen anchor profiles with exact match anchors at 30%+, but how long those sites stick around is anyone's guess. Remember, it's also relative to the number of links you build - i.e. if you had 5 links, 2 out of the 5 (33%) wouldn't look too suspicious with exact match anchors. Extrapolate that out to 250 links however and you would almost certainly run into some problems.

See what I suggest people:
50% Anchor Texts
30% Long Tails
20% Generic Keywords

Personally I would keep the exact match ones very low yes, but do plenty of related term links, but always 75% branded/naked or generic.

I like to use about 2%-5% exact anchors but you can use up to 10% and still be safe I see it all the time.

So don't panic if you go over 5%

Usually, I use 10% exact match anchor text and am ranking good in Google.
