    Sorry, this doesn’t work anymore.

Paste it into note pad and press enter after every hashtag, then paste it into your spreadsheet.

I have a question on this.

    i) For Step 12, how do you know if the hashtag is still relevant at the time of our research? If I managed to get more engagements above the top 6 posts, any chances to check how much of potential reach I may get?

ii) I dont understand this sentence, "you get less than 50 likes on your images, then you need to use hashtags with a popularity of below 60" . When we create new IG post, we might not have 50 likes right? Or do u meant to say, to get 50 likes, use hashtags with popularity below 60%?

    i) No, that’s unquantifiable. You’re not likely to get more engagements than the other posts unless the quality of your post is objectively better.

ii) I’m using numbers for the sake of using numbers here. You’re digging into the details too much. It’s a very simple formula: use hashtags with low competition, so your posts stay at the top of algorithm. Generally speaking, posts that rank top 6 of low popularity (low popularity being 60% popularity and preferably much lower) will have very few engagements. Thus if you’re only getting 50 likes on a photo you should, as an example, be using hashtags with a 60% or lower popularity. However, you should also be doing research by looking at the top 6 posts and seeing how many engagements those posts have to asses your ability to outperform those posts. In essence you can totally ignore popularity all together—but it will help you to quickly find the right hashtags after you’ve done your due diligence.

No idea, I don’t use Twitter.

Good method and I would like to try it! But personally I don't have a top 6 hashtags (before I had it but an update deleted it).
Now I have an infinite list of posts so how do I decide which ones I take to get an average of likes per post?
There are posts posted 1 hour ago with 150 likes and 18h posts with 2500 likes so... any ideas?

Thank you. It just works flawlessly.
I just tried it. The way I did it:
Search for a broad hashtag - copy the most relevant and low popularity ones - one by one, put them in the search box to find other hashtags with low popularity - make a list of 30 hashtags - post them under the photo.
My results after two hours of posting it:
More than twice the likes of the previous post - Three times more reach than the previous post

I don't know if you should always post the 30 tags you found because maybe IG won't be very happy about that

IG imposed that limit so that to avoid spamming by users. I do not think they will be upset if we use close to 30 hashtags each time.

I was talking about the fact that you will be using the same hashtags over and over again, not about the number. Isn't that considered spammy?

Incredible knowledge and great reminder on how important hashtags are. Before I read this thread, I had a post up for 2 hours with less than ideal engagement. I quickly realized the issue is because the list of hashtags i used were too short and too targeted. I archived and reposted with a wider list of hashtags and the post received more likes/comments in 15 mins than the old post after 2 hours. I'm going to test out smaller hashtags.

Do anyone know what the maximum number of hashtags to use?

Also outside of Jarvee, that is really good for this level of research and performance tracking? I only do organic and don't really need the full set of tools Jarvee provides.

It’s best to use 30. I have tested this thoroughly.

You can, however, get shadowbanned for using the same exact hashtags over and over.

Shadowbanning is real in case anyone has any doubts.

As in a mix of low, medium, high?

From all the research I’ve done, this is impossible.

Virality is based on sustained engagements per minute.

If you are in the higher follower count and are capable of going viral, then low popularity hashtags will only slow down the rapid fire engagements needed to go viral.

It’s better to rank for the biggest hashtags possible in order to produce the fastest results possible.

The idea that the low will carry into the medium is complete non-sense.

Nice share, pretty nice share! This reminds me of how longtail keywords would work on the SEO field. It will certainly work!

I gave this method a try on a new account...
Comparing posts with and without this method - I can see increment of 150-200% in terms of reach.

However, it didnt give much followers. I am currently doing a very controlled "follow-unfollow" technique(which I dont like honestly) together with this method.

Anyone has good tips to increase followers?
