Ever since I bought my first domain my inbox has been filling up with spam

I've been reading methods and journeys on this website for at least 3 months now and last week Sunday I decided to finally do something... so I made a website. Bought a domain and I've been working on it so much lately that I've completely forgotten about other things, so when I checked my email, my spam inbox was at 128 and about 40 spam emails in my primary inbox. All of them were regarding my domain and mainly read things like "Please visit this link to complete domain registration" and "Hey, I can help you build your website" or "I'm Bob and I will do logo design for your site"

The thing is that the first email I got was asking me to complete my domain registration, without even reading it I just clicked the link and it took me to a site that Chrome immediately detected as Malware, luckily nothing happened. Its annoying the shit out of me and I really don't know what I can do about it. I (regretfully) used Dynahost as my hosting/website provider, I only paid $50 in total for my website to run for a year and the fact that they accepted Paypal as a payment method was the main reason I decided to use them, but now I regret it after realizing their Wordpress-ripoff website design engine sucks, they're an Indian company and probably the cause of my troubles. Any recommendations? It took me months to earn the $50 I spent so I'm not going to close my account or anything like that.

They're getting your information from your Whois data, scraping it and mass emailing spam. Make your domain registration private and the only spam you'll get is your hosting company trying to sell you more shit. Unless you switch to a better hosting company. I've suggested them before and I continue to suggest LiquidWeb.

The problem is that with these Dynahost idiots, the option to make my information private costs $ and I have no money left to spend.
