I am currently creating an infographic that looks pretty good. I have found some infographic elements to put together and it almost looks like a commercial quality infographic but not quite.

Has anyone created a branded infographic for link building purposes and found that it didn't spread well due to unprofessional design quality? I plan on completing and submitting it but I was wondering if anyone has a personal experience in this area.

Thank you for your responses in advance. :)

To be honest, designs carry more weight than the actual stats you're sharing.

Don't get me wrong, people love data, and info graphics packing up useful stats will surely be appreciated.

But what usually puts an infographic over the top is how well it looks visually.

I've rolled out my fair share of infographics for different brands I've handled, and I guarantee you that those that actually went viral are the ones with lesser data, but much better graphics/presentation.

Make sure the words are big. Make sure it's actually readable and spaced nicely. It would also be nice if you studied the color psychology for Infographics, I think KISSmetrics have an article on that.

Good luck!

Thank you for your response!

I will make sure to check out KISSmetrics articles on color psychology.

I will try to capitalize on the visual aspects of the info graphic. When I finish I may post it on here for some feedback.
