I have two domains with identical names one .eu (aged 2 years) and one .com (aged 1 year)
The client wants to get european hits only and so have used the .eu domain until now but it doesn't rank well. Should I update the site and keep the .eu domain? Or should I switch to the .com domain.
I am familiar with .co.uk domains and how they rank locally but I am not sure how .eu domains rank on european searches. Can anyone give me some insight into this?

Hard to say really, but my experience has been that, unless it's country specific, you have an equal chance of ranking any extension. So if the .eu isn't ranking well then it's not the domain extension's fault, but the culprit lies elsewhere.

This is what I thought as well (the original site is rubish) but because to .EU even has a different registrar I wasn't sure if anything else was going on for these domains...
