I would like to hear from experienced Etsy sellers.
I kinda need some confirmations that I can make it with POD on Etsy.
I'll appreciate your honest opinions and suggestions.
Thank you!

Oh I hope it is, may I know when you started?
What do you mean exactly about "looking after my cash flow"
Literally just started last week. Been planning for a while and took the leap last week.

on etsy you have fees and charges which eat into your profit but you also have to wait to get paid out. In the mean time you still have to fulfill your customer order.

so you have an expense but with the knowledge of money to come in. The danger is say you accidentally go viral and sell 10000 t shirts. You have to place and pay for those T-shirt’s before you get the money from etsy

Yes, I understand. I've made myself an excel file that helps me with all the fees and expenses to price my items correctly.
^^ 10000 sales! Ahh but at this stage, you will already have upfront funds and your cash flow will be seamless.
By the way, 10k sales is a long-term milestone!
We may help each other in the future, I would like to keep in touch with you! :)

Hi, I know I am late to this party, but let me give you some reality.

In the last 8 years I have worked with HUNDREDS of Etsy POD sellers, and the ugly truth is that overwhelmingly most fail.

Since the huge influx of covid sellers on Etsy (most doing POD), this niche has become incredibly difficult to make work.

You have to have a deep understanding of pushing in to a niche, and know what Etsy wants from you.

For example, opening up a dog theme store and pumping out 50 t shirts simply will not cut it, period.

You would have to push into that niche and start targeting dog breeds and then go further still and understand what those dog breed owners want in their products, and know how to speak to them.

This will unlock sales for you, as an example, in the dog niche.

Anyone who says this is anything less than incredibly difficult does not know what they are talking about.

I hope that helps.
