I absolutely love this initiative. It teaches advanced problem solving skills to children at the right age; there is no reason why children cannot learn advanced coding, only the constructs of our society thinks children need 12 years of schooling for concepts that they can learn in a year. I think this will have a profound impact on education theory, in which the most advanced countries of the world will dream to dare and create a skilled labour force whichwill increase the services aspect of the Estonian economy.

The GCI recently released has Estonia currently the 34th ranked nation in Global Competitiveness which is very respectful.

Having an economy based on services, a skilled labour force could make them very powerful in a world that has become more and more globalised.

I am from Estonia and i must say most of the youth here is already very highly educated in the IT department. I know companies who code the large complicated parts of international projects. If all goes as it is in the education and IT department i don't see why we couldn't be one of the top contenders in that department. Since we are so small and have almost no natural resources we must compensate it somehow. And what better way than through education and innovation.

The only somewhat of a drawback is that Estonia has somewhat high taxes 21% corporate and income and 20% sales tax. What they need to look into doing is to lower it to attract foreign companies from usa and the eu to register there. At 1.3 million population this would greatly benefit them to have the majority of state revenue coming from outside sources.

Have recently hung out in Estonia, they are my second favorite people after the Thai. One of the few places where everyone i met in clubs spoke English with an international accent.

First class people, first class education policy.

On the tax issue - Estonia has very little avoidance as it goes with the fully flat taxation system, only one in the EU afaik.
