Hi, I got a question, how much do you think is the average time for someone finding a micro niche keyword with this process?

    1) Pick a broad niche and search it in adw0rd tools.
    2) Filter ones with 2k USA searches
    3) Filter ones with >$1 cpc
    4) Check trad3marks on it.
    5) Check if keyword domain or authority website ranks for that keyword
    6) Check if it has ads on g00gle search page.
    7) Check if aviable domain
    8) Check "keyword" competition
    9) Check allintitle:keyword competition

I wanted to know because I hired someone to keyword research but I think he's not being productive or he's riping me off wasting time.

Is he doing all of the checking manually - or is he using a tool like MS or MNF?

If he is dealing only with this job , I would say 3-4 usefull keywords (Domains) / hour is normal.. How much do you pay for him ? and how many Keywords he found for you / (which period of time ) ?

Ugh, doing this manually would take forever - get a tool for the job...
(free trial of MS would work).

The amount of good keywords you come up with really depends on the niche though.
Some niches have tons of good unsaturated keywords left, some niches that you'd think would be great don't really have much money in them, and others are so saturated it's hard to find a keyword that hasn't been highly targeted.

My experience has been that 3-4 hours research nets me under 10 worthwhile keywords (and I use lots of tools)... but I am picky about the keywords I spend my time on.

oh, and I just saw that you are having the freelancer pick the starting broad niche - that's a mistake really - he probably has no idea what sort of topics are decent to begin with and might only be searching in low money or over saturated topics.

Give him some broad areas to start with

I pay him 1.3 dollars per hour (average payement in my country) in full time its like 260 dollars. He currently gives me 4~5 keywords per day, but IDK if it can be because of the lack of experience.

About the niches, I give him a list with some product keywords like "bedsheets" "cpu" "processor" and things like that, should I fire him or am I failing at something?

Yeah , I understand salary depends on country .And he should be thankful to you since you gave him a job at least.(we hear how hard it is , in some places)..

Ok never fire him but set a task list for everyday ,I mean he should give at least 10 keywords per day , after one week of orientation / training period.. I think this will push him little bit..And he will feel he is now in training / test stage , so make his best to proof himself to you..

But at the end , we are all humanbeing and some good words with encouraging talkings also keep him motivated.
