Hey guys,

So right now I'm validating a niche business idea, and I'm wondering how long it would take for me to dominate the google top #1 spot.

It's a low traffic, low competition keyword (600 searches per month). I checked the #1 website for the term, and it has 650 backlinks, and 120 referring domains.

SEO is something I know little about (I just understand the basic concept). How easy do you think it would be for me to rank that keyword? (I would pay someone to do the work for me, as I have no interest in doing it myself).

Cheers!

Doesn't seem too bad from the info you have given but would have to look at it properly to know for sure.

Most important information is missing.
The strength of the sites that are currently on page one.
Age, trust, authority, PR, backlinks etc.

Scritty

checkpageranksays PR rank of 2, domain is 2 years 10 months old, alexa rank 280,000
smallseotools says page rank of 34, and domain authority of 22.

Hopefully that info is accurate :)

Use the seoquake addon and you will see all the info displayed on the search page itself.

I usually start off my websites with social bookmarking , profiles and similar small type stuff and move on to bigger methods of links building like blog posts and homepage backlinks. Maybe you could do the same as well

I would say on of the most important info is the RELEVANCE of the websites currently in SERP.

Thanks for all the help! :) I've had a look at the feasilbility of the idea through a few other channels, so I think I'll put the wheels into motion.

I know there's a million SEO services on here.. so it's quite hard deciding what will and won't be suitable. Can you guys recommend any services in particular for a brand new site?

If you're not very knowledgeable when it comes to SEO then I wouldn't advise blowing your money on generic link-building services. They're not tailored for your website or marketing strategy. Those service providers don't care if you site ranks or get's penalised. They'll take your money and deliver what was promised. The two options you have are to educate yourself, understand the basics and do some manual SEO and perhaps purchase some services to supplement your inbound marketing efforts, or pay an actual SEO agency that will perform keyword research and competitor analysis and provide you with a tailored SEO strategy. The cost of the latter will be a fair amount more than you average service here, however.

I guess Candybar's Service good enough to rank your site :)
