I see a lot of ping lists throughout the forum here. As nice as it may be to ping as many sites as possible, I don't want to be identified as a ping spammer, which is what many people say happens when you ping a huge list of sites. So my question is what are the essential (most important) sites to ping and what do your lists look like? And how many sites is a good amount to use without risking getting banned or looked at as a ping spammer?

Is what I used, I got it from an autoblogging thread... can't remember where now that I think about it. It has been good to me but to be honest pinging is SOO confusing there has to be a simpler way... but thought I would share what I use with good results.

Thanks for the list. Can you explain what is so confusing about pinging?

Also, does anyone else have a good list to use? And with all of these pinging services do you need to create accounts or anything with them before they allow you to ping and, if so, which ones?

Just what you said, which ones are multipingers? Which ones require accounts? Which are the best services to use to get the most pinging without being labeled as spam... Oh and which ones STOPPED taking pings, lots of them are dying out now so there could be a dead one in the list above as well, who knows :p
