Ensure a domain name has no trademarks attached or anything that could potential be taken away?

How can you accurately ensure that the name you wish to register will not have anything that can potentially make you lose that name at a later point? As in trademarks, companies and so on...

So far I've never cared much into searching for those nor had any issues with those, but I wonder if its easy to ensure that to pick a safe name regardless of your niche.
 
why worry about it until it happens. Just don't use obvious trademarks
 
A few google searches should be able to answer your question.

If its easily searchable why not certify of it rather than have the risk of losing a great domain name and potentially have to restart?

Of course I don't use names from obvious trademarks but that doesn't mean you won't accidentally land on one...

Well first thing I'd do is search the US Trademark database. That's where DMCA's may be triggered at you.

Then search similar European databases.
