Im planning to get a VPS for scrapebox. Im not sure how VPS works but does it mean the "internet" connection is faster or just processing power is faster to run programs. Is VPS just like having your own PC online and you can basically do whatever you normally do on your regular PC? And how do I ensure that I dont exceed the bandwith limit and do providers charge you extra if you exceed the upload/download limit?

Thanks

Yes. It's basically like you're own computer. They section off a part of the server that is completely separated from the other customers on the server. The benefit of a VPS is that you have dedicated resources without having to spend a lot of money for a dedicated server. You also have root access which allows you to install software, etc. About bandwidth, either it's a set limit with overage or you get a dedicated line ($$$).

meaning you can access it from anywhere?

*reliability
*usability
*less strain on your pc, freeing up resources
*anonymity (did I spell that right)
*ability to use your tools anywhere

It's just worth it.

Another thing not many people mention is you're getting access to very advanced hardware you would not see anywhere else. 8 core processors running at 3GHZ+, 16 - 32GB DDR3 RAM, gigabit local connections and 100Mpbs down and up. Sure you don't get all of this power because you only get a slice, but a slice of something great is better than leaving your laptop on all day. I believe Windows server edition also has less bloatware and memory leak, as it's meant to be run for weeks (Linux servers are meant to be run for years without a reboot).

So you dont have to actually turn on your pc to access the VPS? Just set it up and run application on the server side? im in then lol:D

Yep. Once it's running just log off and the applications continue running as usual.

If you have a lot of SEO tools running all the time. Try it, you won't regret it.

can i use it for torrents? usually vps have caps for dl or upload?

I travel and use a work laptop most of the time. I use a VPS to run scrapebox, AMR, BMD and a few other tools while I'm at work and usually stuck behind a firewall. It's great because I can set the ball in motion and the world keeps turning whether or not I'm on a client site or stuck in an airport.

i am using it....

SB is best with VPS...

without VPS SB is like a man without soul....

I have basically all of my tools (commercial and personal) running on multiple VPS with various operating systems according to what I have to do with them... For the most part I would be able to manage my daily automation chores on my phone when I don't need to add some major feature. No need to have TB of bandwidth busy at home/your office and ability to add new IPs basically on demand. All reasons enough to get a VPS. Some are unmetered if you deal with large quantities of data per month like you probably do or will.

Plus, the right VPS will guarantee a certain level of discretion, if you get my drift... ;)

Whats the best vps for sb and torrents.
Lets say i dled something on a vps can i transfer it to a hdd?

can I log in to the vps without an Internet connection?
