I think google only knows , what reality is. Because , if you own a company and if you know it is dying you will work on it.
Companies customer support can be poor depending on the handling.

I noticed this 5 years ago. I used to search for a destination on Google then I switched to fb and this is what most of people does. Follow the crowd. Word of mouth. No matter how you call it we all tend to do what others do. You migh be diffteren, but 90% of people are not, studies say.

I guess you are converting the story. Reason is read it carefully they said search techniques changed. Yeah, so they are adding new features. {Google lens is an example}
Also, if you also think End of Google confirmed will you de index all your site's from Google and index them on insta or tiktok. No?

If I would be one of Google's CEOs, I would say this: "Business is BOOMING".
These guys are giants. It doesn't matter that a trend gets more searches. They have the money to overcome it, and in the end they will still be on top.
Look at the charts for their market share. It's simply too much for anyone to make any difference.

Webmasters or bloggers are not the consumers. People reading the information and using search are consumers and they decide what platform will remain relevant.
