My personal feeling is that Bitcoin will crash badly some day. Unfortunately I have no idea when. This doesn't help the FOMObrigade.Does anyone know if you can buy (or sell) on margin?

Yes. There are many exchanges that let you trade margin. Kraken, Binance, Bitfinex, etc ... google it

Everything will crash eventually. Even the Earth will be hit by a fucking massive meteor and crash. But we don't know when it would happen.

If you are not into BTC don't stress yourself out and enjoy the show.

Ha Ha Ha...

Let me know when you know it...

Bitcoin is getting more awareness , and so the corrections won't be as massive as previous times.

Buy bitcoin

bitcoin has proven to be a good investment, just look at the people who invested millions in 2013.
and before.
so if you are patient enough to wait a few years 3/4 years ( unless goverments ban bitcoin )
you have a high chance you earned money.
but this is not financial advise, and never invest any money that you cant lose.
Especially when its already at 57K

Also Bitcoin is getting a lot of love, BUT dont sleep on other coins:
year to date:
Bitcoin +93%
Ether +167%
if bitcoin goes to 100k and someone invests 10k now.. that person can earn 8k or lose 2/3k or all.
There tons of other coins with higher returns.
So investing in crypto and diversifying is always a good move, in my opinion.
if your willing to wait a decade, or 5 years

Well @Raysor you were right in the short term - since your post, BTC has dropped 8.6%:eek::eek::eek::eek:
You should have shorted it.

Here's something interesting though, there is a BTC ETF (exchange-traded fund) that's just been released in Canada.

I won't pretend to know what an ETF is, but it sounds like reasonable news for Bitcoin.

On top of that, there are some big investors in BTC recently - Elon Musk (Tesla) being probably the biggest alongside -

Microstrategy - 71,079 BTC
Grayscale Investments - 656,166 BTC
Ruffer Investment company - 45,000 BTC

As you know, I think its here to stay, but I could be wrong of course.

Downsides as I see things currently are that its hard to buy and use Bitcoin - for the average person - it has found difficulty making its way into the mainstream - I know that many investors simply don't know how to invest in it and many stockbrokers won't go near it due to regulatory issues, but as more funds pop up that invest in Bitcoin, I think that will become easier.

Also in the news more recently, I saw that the Indian government are making it clear they want to ban Bitcoin completely, advising companies to sell their stake prior to IPOs.
