I have recently acquired some EMDs for a moderate keyword. I created a couple dummy with 10 pages of unique content. My sites are all sitting on the first page of google in various positions. The highest of which is 3rd. They were unmoved by the Google Attack of the 24th. I have been adding content daily and getting pretty good traffic, but I am wondering what would happen if I just used a 301 redirect to my largest site. The sites are gradually being built up to authority sites, but my largest site is already there. I am wondering if there is a way to keep the EMD search positions while redirecting to the money site. EMD #1 = Example.com It is ranked number three for the keyword. Can I redirect traffic from Example.com while keeping it in the Search engine for the keyword, but sending it to my money site? The money site covers many topics instead of the EMD's one. I thought about doing this with a Splash page featuring a click through to Moneysite.com. I also thought about just doing a webhost based redirect. I have also thought about a 301 redirect. I am also open to other suggestions. What do you think would work best and why? Also, on expired domain traffic does the traffic flow depend on people remembering the old website name and typing it in, or are the old domains still taking up space as major players in google? If it is the latter, how is that done?
