I registered a .com domain thew wordpress on it and a couple of rss feeds. Added the new URL to google so it could crawl the one page site.

4 days later its on page 4 of google of 124 million pages for the emd keyword. With no SEO whatsoever.

So much for emd domains being dead.

4 days is way too little time to make any conclusions. Could you update this after a month and let us know what happens? I'm curious about it.

Besides EDM was never wiped out, the fight is about low quality sites ranking in the name of EDM. Non EDM and EDM now rank alike, that is what it just mean. Your site ranking on top ten of Google is just a welcome from Google that has not secured that spot for you.

My site is a one page website with rss feeds. So you would of thought this would of been penalised.
Maybe the daily cron job for rss news feeds keeping the page fresh have something to do with it. Time will tell.
