Anyone know roughly the average shaving rate of the bigger networks on email submits for example, iPhone. I seemed to have got credited for all the five that I got a few people to fill out a few days ago so far, so it can't be that bad can it?

In my experience at first you'll get a good CPC, say like 20%+ will convert... then it'll drop (shaving?!) to around 6-15% - this is in my experience.

I emailed my IM the other day and mentioned how some offers were converting much lower than a week ago, he assured me he didn't have any idea why that would be... but the next day they went back to converting well... coincidence? :)

Also... i've read that on the backtrack software they can set a specific shave rate (fact)

It depends on the offer though. Some offers are just not converting at all but most shave about 20-30%. But it also depends if your traffic is converting or not, better converting traffic will result in less shaving. Also try to use recently added offers, those have been less abused and will therefore shave less. Just my 2 cents.
