Hi guys, just stumbled across the forums and they seem like a great resource.

I would like to market a new website to potential clients and am wanting to send a onetime promotional email.

I would like to scrap email addresses from google and have been researching the various different apps that are available (its a minefield) and some seem to be able to do what i want but in practice have failed.

I'm calling on you pros to point me in the right direction with my software choice..

I would like to search google with the following term:

    allintitle: "florist" flowers site:.co.uk

with a view to harvest email addresses of florists in the UK.

Any recommendations or assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks,

    Devs.

I've found that email extractor 14 will work for my purpose via targeting a directory site rather than google search keywords.

Should I use a proxy when doing the scrap as it will crawl all pages on the directory? If so can anyone recommend one that I should use as I've never used one before.

Any help would be great guys.

    Thanks,

    Devs.

Thanks for the info kkvsam - really appreciated.

I'm going to scrap via a directory site rather than social networks. Would I need to use a proxy app to hide behind when hammering a directory site? If so do you have any tips or recommendations?

    Many thanks!

Use ScrapeBox to scrape URLs with your footprint.
Then, import URLs list in Email Grabber and harvest email :
    Code:
    http://www.emailgrabber.net
No need proxies to harvest emails, only for scraping URLs with footprint.
    It's how I do.

    Beny

PS : It's not my software, use another if you want. No matter for me !

Perfect, like the approach and thanks for sharing with me. Does Scrapebox use inbuilt proxys or would I need to use something in conjunction? ;)

I'm also interested in a good scraper. Especially on some server app I could put up somewhere. As the OP already said, it's quite hard to choose one, so perhaps someone has some experience :)

    only florists co uk

    or

    all florists co uk

    What you thinking?

I agree with KKsam, SEE or Social Email Extractor is by far the most advanced, fastested and through in terms of scraping a very niche , demo target.

I appreciated that SEE is a great tool, however I feel that SB and an email extractor would be the best route for me to take as I feel that a large percentage of my market will not be using social media. Or am I missing a trick with the SEE route?

I suppose the alternative would be to pay one of your seasoned pro's to harvest them for me??

yo, id never used scrapebox to harvest emails so I thought id give it a try on this
    I used these foot prints

    florists "@hotmail.co.uk"
    florists "@yahoo.co.uk"

    and 1 or 2 others...

heres the list, not perfect, as it uses regex to match so not everything it matches is a legit email, it also scraped quite a few .coms as well.

Top man andee, really appreciate you taking the time mate. I'm geussing your on a fat pipe to be able the scrap those so quickly?

Is there any chance you could scrape the URLs from the all florists co uk site with SB? I will then feed these into email extractor 14 and will have excatly the emails that I require.

    Cheers again Andee,

    Devs. ;)
