    Hi guys,

I'm new to email marketing, however I have a legit mail list of 22k plus, all in my targeted niche. My questions are what is the best service to use ( I'm currently signed up for a premium Mailchimp account) and how do I go about mailing my contacts without being flagged as spam. Sorry if the questions are very general, I am new to this.

    Regards,

    James :)

I use Aweber, it is really nice. Plus, mail coming from the Aweber server doesn't get dropped in spam. For flagging however, it really depends on how you got that list to begin with. If you scrapped them off Google, expect lots of flags and a possible ban. If users willingly signed up, then you should be fine. You might make some good money with your list, but it won't last long.

OP - you mention "legit" mail list according to your niche... What does that mean exactly? Are the opt-in? double opt-in? do you have their emails from them writing down their addresses on sheets of paper?

more details = better and more insightful response to suit your needs.

    cheers.

Hi mate, if its opt in list use constant contact, much cheaper than mailchimp. i think its about about $50 pm and you can send as many email you like. Most ESPs have a built in spam checkers, and read email best practices.

    Hi kapub.

A I said, I am new to this. basically its a list I built over a few years when I used to work selling pensions and investment schemes: contacts, colleagues, old clients etc. None are scraped.

    Cheers,

    James :)

Okay ... do you have these emails in one spot? Have they been opt-in into a mailer like mailchimp? or do you have them in an excel sheet as you got them from different places?

If you want more of a plan on next steps feel free to pm me as you can't just get generic advice and expect to get good results.

    Cheers.
