Hello, I built an site with a trademark in it, i got a mail from the site owner ;/ lol. it was worth the try but not good enough lol, lesson learnt, tho im out of the usa and my site is still indexed i supose I could better remove the site isn't it?

The trademark name is in my url

you'd have to check your local laws / international laws...

If the person is in another country then there's next to nothing they can do about it... It's extremely expensive to sue someone overseas and time intensive. If it's a small business owner the chances of them having the money to sue you for it are very small.

On the other hand, if it's a big corporation don't f**k with them. They will come after you.

... Don't reply to the email, they have to send you a Cease and Desist letter first, a basic email is prob. not good enough but, don't quote me on it.

Good advice above. If your overseas not a whole lot to worry about, especially if the site owner emailed you personally. If it was a large corporation, it would have been an attorney that contacted you. So I would not worry, nothing they will do about it...However, you may want to try and communicate with the owner, see if you can work something out with him, selling the site to him or selling traffic, leads etc...everyone wins that way

Not sure if it is a big company, it's an insurance company so i supose they have the money to make trouble. Tho I live overseas ( from the Netherlands )
I have put the site down for now, but I got an email from the owner of the company.

He's mailing me that they are the owner of the trademark I use and registered at number *******

e are also the owner of several domain names using "****" and it has recently come to my attention that your company has been using the ***** Mark and our domain name without permission.
Your use of our name in the web address and on the landing page is a clear violation of our Federal copyright and trademark protection. This is clearly an action taken to deceive and confuse our clients and potential clients and we will not refrain from quickly and aggressively pursuing legal action if this effort does not stop immediately. Our efforts will also include contacting the company's that you provide advertising links so they are aware of their participation in this activity. Though you are outside of the US we have been very successful pursuing legal action and other measures to eliminate these activities.

We typically follow standard process for dealing with these situations but your use of our name in the web address and on the website noted are so clearly an attempt to profit from our company identity that it will not be tolerated regardless of the country you reside in. We take the protection of our trademark and company reputation very seriously and have been 100% successful in numerous legal actions to date. I am hoping that any further action will not be necessary. Please discontinue this activity immediately. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you may have.

I suggest you google WIPO and UDRP.
