    Hello

I have gathered email addresses of 200 people that I want to send emails to. In the email, I would try to sell them a service. I am not very familiar with ICANN rules. Can I legally send these emails in the US? What do I need to do to make it legal? If I put a note at the end, saying "if you do not wish to receive any more emails, reply to this email with the subject line unsubscribe", would that make it legal?

I realize I could read the ICANN rules, but i thought i would ask someone with first hand experience.

Then the "CAN-SPAM Act" is the thing you should read. Main things are to provide unsubscribe possibility and to have your physical address at the end of the newsletter. But be sure to read it through yourself, cause there are quite high penalties for misbehavior.
