Do you remember when Mark Zuckerberg was on trial at the senate hearing and the judges senators had him explain how all of this internet stuff worked?

I feel like he's betting on the courts to know what a bot account even is.

Edit: A user pointed out below that he wasn't on trial; it was a senate hearing.

Many people are more skilled than Elon at what they do though. I don't understand why Elon would be your favorite person for this reason. Think of how many top surgeons save lives daily by operating on brains and hearts with perfectly steady hands.

This is not true. He can be forced to pay tens of billions of dollars, and Tesla share price is down 33% in the last 6 months. If he loses and has to sell more Tesla stock, the price will drop even more, and his net worth will in turn drop even more.

Just because Elon says something, doesn't make it true. There is no legal requirement that says Twitter will have to disclose bot information in court. Elon waived due diligence and the courts can make a ruling that even if they lied, it's not enough to let Elon back out of the deal.

Elon wants people to believe he is the smartest man in the room, but it just isn't the case.

There are too many issues here which I think you miss:

  1. First of, CNN is a cooperate media outlet, and cooperate America is partially people like Elon which get government handouts. Do you really think companies like Tesla and SpaceX make profits? They live on American's shoulders, getting benefits from the government to maintain.
  2. Musk now has to pay 1 billion for cancellation fees. How is this smart? That is in case Twitter can't proof damages which will be on Musk.
  3. Twitter has previously disclosed the information, there is no new information to disclose in a court.
  4. Musk is a son of a South African "white" mine owner, he has been well off before all this, he is just a mascot for cooperate America and not a self made man like tv tries to put it.
  5. Trump did say one right thing in his entire life and that was about Elon which he called a "BS Artist". Gotta be one to know one.

For what it's worth, there's reasonable grounds to back out from a deal like that if a significant enough per cent of Twitter's user base is just bots. Significant enough to, say, affect it's overall value. Although, you'd think Elon and Twitter would have discussed it before announcing the purchase. Actually, a lot of this back and forth should really have been discussed beforehand or at least in private.

These recent news of him battling against Twitter show that he has a lot of influence.
 
Elon Musk is a certified clown. Well, he is a clown, but not yet a certified clown. But, he'll soon win the certification of being a certified clown.
 
Elon has the clout and he knows how to use it on Twitter.

Mark Zuckerberg was never on trial, Congress demands him to answer some of their questions. Judges that take IT cases are usually have a high degree in computer science and they certainly know what a bot account is.

Twitter claimed only 5% of accounts are bot in their contract. Elon Musk tested some random accounts and came to conclusion that the number of bot accounts is higher than 5% probably 20%. So twitter breached one of contract terms by lying, The only way twitter can reject Elon test is to show the real stats of bots.
 
Musk is a stupid man and he is a good thing for us not to buy Twitter
