why do republicans talk about evangelical votes, while democrats talk about black votes, but not the other way around?
e.g., when it comes to democratic votes, nobody talks about evangelicals?

Because there are fundamental ideals that are more in line with each specific party. Evangelical ideals are more in line with the Republic Party's beliefs on issues and the same is true for black votes for the Democratic party. Seldom is the case where an evangelical holds the same ideals and beliefs as a Democrat and vice-versa...not saying it doesn't happen, just not enough to make the party's increase their target audience. Micro-Niche, if you will...versus being an Authority site ....kind of thing.
