What I remember from New Orleans was how crime spiked after all the "refugees" from NO came to San Antonio on the government dime. As soon as the money ran out, they got evicted. While they lived in my neighborhood, we got Domestic Violence calls, Vehicle break-in calls and several other crimes where we had had a statistical "0" before. And as soon as they were evicted, crime went back to "0".

Don't believe what you see on TV. We who actually lived it have a very different and more accurate understanding of what really took place, rather than the politically correct bullshit that has been electronically puked so frequently that anyone that tells the truth now looks like a liar.

People die all the time. These 8 deaths are no more significant today than they would have been if the hurricane had been on the other side of the planet. They need to make a false, causal connection between these deaths and the hurricane, and hype the signficance of these deaths, in order to justify the complete over-reaction by the government.

The government's message is clear. You need us to protect you. Do what we tell you and you will be safe. Disobey us and bad things will happen to you. Anyone that fails to obey us is stupid.

This isn't about a hurricane, this is about a corrupt and broken-down Federal Government desparately trying to persuade it's people of it's own usefulness, in an effort to distract those people from it's abject failures and the economy's imminent collapse.

    Here's a hint:
Buffet's purchase of Bank of America stock means that, despite the debt, the financial crisis, the threat of the Tea Party and the American People's rage over the past corporate bailouts, the Federal Government is going to absorb the loss of all that "toxic paper" (houses that are foreclosed and are worth less than what is owed) and bail-out B of A.
