How do I measure the effect of social media marketing on my business?
Social Media Marketing ROI is ALWAYS the hardest to quantify. It's only 2nd to the pathetic ROI measurements of billboards, but you get the point.
Unless your business is B2C and you're selling clothes/jewelry online, you get to see how effective your campaigns are, but in other cases it's near impossible to do so.
This is why most marketers are using metrics such as Engagement and Post Reach/Impressions. Then others also use a manual process wherein if they close in on a lead, they try to ask where they found out about the product, and sometimes they say "Social Media", but y'know in marketing there's too many touch points that it's really difficult to make sense out of this data.
You can also check your Google Analytics if Social Media is a huge driver of your traffic. But as far as actual $$$ earned because of your latest Facebook post, don't count on it. (unless like I said, you're an ecommerce store).
You can't measure the role of social media marketing in your business.
But you can see the effect by getting growth in your business by social media marketing.
I recommended these steps
Google Analytics to see how much traffic comes from your social media properties.
Would google analytics work with crowdfunding sites like indiegogo and gofundme? thanks
