I have multiple sites under hostgator baby plan with a dedicated IP (all sites have the same IP)

I check rankings daily and lately I realized that adding links to a site affects most of the sites the same way regardless of their age / niche / pagerank. They disappear then appear or climb up / down simultaneously.

Does anyone have such an experience?

I'm working hard for my sites, so not to risk anything should I switch to Reseller hosting and put every site on a seperate IP? ( will cost additional $20-$30 per month)

    Any help greatly appreciated.

    Regards,

I think it will not affect at all. and I think you don't need to do that..

Most websites these days are up on shared hosting, so there is a lot of "common" ip addresses as the moment. It would be madness of the search engines to penalize every site on an IP address because one of the sites was naught..

Maybe if they all had the same whois info, and the domains where all registered at the same place on the same day etc. Then maybe.. But even then.

    take care
