This is a nice trick I have used in the past to get backlinks from .edu domains, might also work for .gov search for job boards and limit your search .edu then post a real job description as if you were going to hire students for writing content or programming, as long as you make it look real you should have no problem getting those links

does .edu and .gov links rank you higher in google or something? sorry im not following

For anyone interested... Haven't tried the .gov yet, got pretty bored checking out pr and what queries the submit forms are under.

intitle: post a job inurl:.edu
intitle: submit a job inurl:.edu

Yes. Google gives them a higher weight, since it is difficult to post a link there.

This is the biggest load of crap buddy, I'm sorry. The only reason why Google gives gov and edu website more weight is because these site tend to have backlinks from other authority government or educational websites. It has nothing to do with the domain name extension nor the backlink availability. In fact Matt Cutts said in plain words that domain name extensions are not treated any differently by Google.

hey Keedev that is the most tripped out avatar ever,,,

back on topic,,
how do you post a job ad with a link to a porn site or penis pill site?
Must be very creative text in those job ads.

Perhaps this might work:
webmaster/Programmer needed for http://www.mysite.com
salary $7.50 an hour (deliberately low to discourage interest)

You could post that you need somebody to write articles or blogs for you. Do something like will pay $10.00 a blog per day for 30 days. Blogs must be at lest 300-400 words and they will be for www.anysite.com

When people respond tell them the position is filled.

Yeah thats pretty much all you can say. haha

1. I agree with you that those sites tend to carry authority

2. I don't think we should always listen to what Matt Cutts says since he's biased and will say whatever Google wants him to say.

if only some can code a software that automates job postings

LOL, use cURL

if only some can code a software that automates job postings

The weight does not come from the extension, but usually a .edu domain will have age which does carry weight (this also depends on the page itself).

I just threw the idea at you, it is something i did in the past and worked.
