    Hello guys,

I got some PR 0-4 .edu forum links. I am gonna put links in my signature. All links are do-follow and those PR is actual thread PR (not a domain PR) and I am also able to get my reply on the first page of those threads. So, basically I am getting 0-4 PR edu and Gov ******** backlinks.
So I want to know are they good as they are coming from signature and how effective they are as compared to a normal .com backlinks.

    Thanks for the help.

As normally they are harder to get, they are more valuable.

Yeah I know edu links can be valuable but what if they are coming from forum signature.

Forum signature links aren't bad as long as you build them in moderation. .edu and .gov links from high PR threads are good regardless of whether they are coming from forum sigs or not.

I do not think the links you talk about are valuable in any means, IF the specific forum thread you post on with your signature isn't relevant to your niche. If it is relevant, then the link has some small value...
Still, it's nice that you are thinking and looking for some interesting ways of getting links. GL!

    Thanks Seo power.
@kikerinka they are not niche specific, they are just good PR edu forums.

Can someone verify this? Are edu and gov links really worth the trouble?

Since you are getting forum signature links is not bad since its a related website. Suppose if its a health niche you get the forum signature link for internet marketing company, its an irrelevant category.
Link building is still working if it is a relevant backlink you can see the SERP improvements.

My rule of thumb is if it's easy, then it's usually not worth it.
As with everything, test it out for yourself

Spammy gov links are really bad should your site be reviewed, manually. It's probably the first thing that will stick out as spam factor. Therefore be careful and just build them to buffer sites.
