Hey guys i'm pulling up some good AA .edu pages but in the majority of cases other Ims have placed backlinks.

Which means some of the pages have terms relating to Porn and Viagra etc.

I'm wondering if having the .edu backlink is more powerful to the site than the possible negative effect of having these terms in the content of the linking page?

i'm sure its not that simple, so the next question is?

would you use a clean .edu page to your main site but a negative term page to your web2.0 properties or even further to your articles/video links.

Final question. is this all relevant as the sites that have lots of backlinks will be de indexed anyway?

    thanks for your help guys.

If there are some other links, that means there will eventually be thousands, which means your link will have almost no value, so I wouldn't bother.
