Okay so i got a .net domain for an eCommerce shop that has 276,000 monthly Broad search and only 140 Exact match. Is this a killer domain to help get traffic or really worthless.

There is a dash between the keywords too. So for instance if the keyword was "garden supplies" then i have "garden-supplies" Thanks for your replies.

If you build it up, you could get a decent amount of traffic. 140 exact really isn't much. You'll have to end up on page 1 and probably top 3 to receive enough hits to make a difference.

Do you have real products to sell or are you selling affiliate items or ads? Real products will do OK, especially of you can diversify into similar product lines (i.e. garden supplies would branch into shovels, seeds, plants, etc.)

If you're talking affiliate items or ads, then it will be tougher to make money, but not impossible.

As always, good SEO and link building will help tons. Either way, it won't be quick money in a white hat world.

building too many back links in short period will help you rank your domain even with dashes.
