This is really a nausience, an ebook that can't be shared!!

There is this system going around (which I'm sure has been
going on for sometime, but I've just encountered such an
ebook) that asks you for a username/password every 3rd
time or so that you reed the ebook.

The passwords are issued by the company that has made
this feature available (btw the ebook is in exe format).

So I'm hoping that someone here has come across a way to
hack into these kinds of ebooks or has a keygen or something.

It's frustrating when you've the info put on your harddrive but
still have to pay for it :rocketwho

I wouldn't trust opening an exe for an ebook regardless of who is selling it.. for all I know the person making the ebook is trying to make money and will install anything on your pc to make that much more. How is the ebook read? Through adobe or the default pdf reader or through a window inside the exe.

HTML pages inside the exe. I got a feeling that more
and more ebooks are going to be password protected
in the near future.
Until someone comes along with an app to disassemble
the exe file and read all html pages on their own hehe.

I don't exactly know how this exe works but if its an html page hidden inside an exe I don't think it would be hard for someone that knows how to program to simply extract the pdf or html from the exe. Now we just need the programmer to do it :-p

I found a program a while back that cracks ebook passwords...i'll see if I can find it..OR..perhaps it was on this site....
