So eBay sends this shit after my accountant has my taxes done. WTF, they going to pay my accountant to redo this shit???

Our system indicates that you received payments from eBay Partner Network via two methods in 2011: Direct Deposit and PayPal. The Form 1099-MISC mailed to you on Jan 25th 2012 reflects both payment methods which needs to be corrected to conform to new IRS Form 1099-K reporting requirements for 2011.

ACTION: Please disregard the Form 1099-MISC that was sent to you on Jan 25th 2012. We will be re-issuing a corrected version of the Form 1099-MISC by February 17th 2012.

Depending on the amounts you received via each payment method, you will be receiving one or both of the following two separate 1099s for your payments from eBay Partner Network:
1) Form 1099-Misc for payments received via direct deposit - sent by eBay Partner Network (if payments are greater than $600)
2) Form 1099-K for payments made via PayPal - required to be sent by PayPal (if total payments received from PayPal is greater than $20,000 and greater than 200 transactions during 2011)
We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reply to [email protected] and we will be happy to assist you.
Regards,
The eBay Partner Network - Payments
E-mail address changed to protect the innocent.

Check your E-mails folks if you were 1099ed by eBay or you may be paying twice to have your taxes done too!

I could definitely see something like this becoming a class action lawsuit as you're required to have your documents postmarked before February 1st. I'm assuming this is the case? This isn't going to sit pretty with the American people. Don't know if that's where you're from, but I'll be looking for this in the news.

there should nt be any need to have them redone unless your tax return requires individual reporting of each 1099. the final amount on the original 1099-MISC should be equal to the new 1099-MISC + the new 1099-k. Your taxable income has nt changed any you just now have 2 pieces of paper showing where it came from
