I dont ebay anymore, but this makes it sound much cooler than it really is...

    I quit Ebay...Ebay blows balls.

    And PayPal...

"Well, before I did ANY research into ebooks, ebook sales, or ebay ebook sales I dove right into my very own ebay ebook project(Costing me $50+ for two featured listings). I make money from other online methods such as Clickbank, CJ, Craigslist(yes, I said Craigslist) and Amazon. So I gathered all my money making secrets, and I say secrets because most of my techniques I developed myself, and then I put them together into one 20 page ebook, 2 hours worth of instructional videos, a forum for members only, a free web hosting package and a free website all for $9.97.(this sounds like a lot but I have a general knowledge of creating websites and used a free forum host)After creating my ebay ad, I realized it sucked, and would not cause anyone to impulsively buy(BTW I am a horrible speller and copywriter) so i went to Barnes and Noble and spent $40 on a couple "How-To" Copywriting books, and "How-To" sales letter books. I revised my ad, linked all my items(forum, webhosting, website) to my ebook, and viola, I now have a great ad and great product. Oh, I have NEVER used ebay before this, besides buying a paintball gun like a year ago. I started this project on a Saturday and ended on a Sunday night. At around 1 am I went to bed that sunday and woke up to over $200 deposited in my paypal account, 1 feedback rating to over 25+ real feedback about an item that actually exists(not a .01cent ebook) a dozen emails explaining how awesome my package is, and a F* huge smile on my face. So, what did I do next? Re invested the money I made, and automated my posting which in turn doubled my profits in just two days after that! I made over $500 the first week with my FIRST ebook attempt!

So, the lessons I have learned that others may benefit from...

    1. Be Original, Originality doesnt require you to reinvent the wheel, just put a spin on whats already out there!
    2. Offer something no one else is, I offered free webhosting with my package(Of course I dont actually pay for their entire webhosting..theres a spin on this and thats my little secret)
    3. Offer more than an ebook(I.e. a forum, chat support etc...)
    4. Include pictures of yourself!!! I believe this helped out my ad more than anything I have listed so far!
    5. Treat your new ebook business like a real business! Respond to each and every customer that complains, gripes, appreciates, or flatters you! VERY IMPORTANT!
    6. Brand Yourself! I made it seem in my ad, and in my store as if I am a TRUE business man!
    7. Certified Logos, Certified Logos, Certified Logos! You must create trust and credibility with your customer!
    8. Follow up by email! Over and Over and Over again!

Well, thats really all I can about creating a successful ebook biz on ebay. I am still making 2-4 sales every few hours.
    UPDATE:
Total: after 11 days of ebook sales on a BRAND NEW ebay account: $2,788!
Thats over $6,000 a month selling ebooks on ebay :) (I made over $900 in one night)(I also use the money making methods described in my ebook package)

So why use ebay as a way to make money online you might ask? Mainly because of all the tools provided by ebay, and the buyer seller communication. Its actually fun to run a business online through ebay. Thats why I do it, Clickbank, Amazon, CJ are all good ways ot make money, but are NEVER fun lol. Ebay makes my online biz ventures exciting!

Ok, so now I am going to comment on a few emails that I have received.
First, to sell multiple items aka Fixed Price items. You must have a high feedback rating to do so. This was my first hurdle, in fact I called ebay customer service to figure this out.

Second, and very important, once you have your ebay account running, make sure you have verified all information in your paypal account to lift the withdrawal limit(also, create a new paypal account for selling ebooks on ebay, people often like to ask for their money back after buying ebooks:scammers:, and this raises a red flag to paypal, they may seize your money before you resolve all customer complaints) This happened to me and I couldnt sell my ebook for a week! Costing me all the money I used to post on ebay that week)

Third, BUY THIS BOOK! "The Adweek Copywriting Handbook". You can get it from Amazon and Barnes and Noble. This book helped me tremendously. In fact, I am pretty sure I would have gone nowhere without it. This book helped a bit too "Sales letters for Dummies"

Fourth, getting your item watched is very important. As stated above by another member. I added a picture of a Media Player to my auction(similar to a YouTube sceen) to improve the number of watchers. When they clicked on the "Media Player" they watched my item.

Fifth, Always, and Always list your items on a weekend, and make sure the items end late on the weekend. Sundays seem to be the Powerselling day.

Sixth, be original, I cant stress this enough, I have had numerous emails from customers explaining that my ebook is by far the best ebook found on ebay. Or its "Way underpriced". I do not know if all that is true, but its awesome to display these emails on my auction ad. Because my item was really worth spending the money on, people left me great feedback, and in turn brings in more sales. Reputation is everything on ebay.

Seventh, Open a seperate banking account and Paypal account for your ebay business, and JUST for your ebay business. Paypal is horrible, if you can find a way to get around using Paypal on ebay PLEASE let me know lol. I had 3-4 fraudulent purchases of my ebook. I guess this is pretty common on ebay and paypal, but it hurts the seller. Paypal automatically freezes your account if a suspected scammer purchases from you. This is a serious Pain in the A$$!

Eigth, Post your auctions in featured listings in ONLY authorize places to do so. I am not gonna bother listing them all, but I sell my ebook, in categories such as Home Based Business, Informational Products, and Books. I sell in Canada, Australia, and US mainly. I would post a featured auction once on Sunday in each Category that I post in. Now totalling to over $100 each sunday in ebay fees. I would then frequently update my ad throughout the week, this way my ad always appears at the top as a "Newly Listed" ad. TIP: I dont think this is a secret but, updating your ad throughout the week, keeps your ad at the top of search results.

Ninth, stay motivated, making money online is almost just as stressful as working for a d!ck boss. I have a newborn daughter, which makes this whole venture of mine even harder. But persistency pays off. I wholeheartedly believe that if you fail and continue to pick yourself up, you will succeed. My wife said to me around 6 months after I started working online, and I was making just over $3,000 a month with CJ, Amazon, and Clickbank, she said "I started to think when you first got started with your online ventures, spending every minute on your computer, that you didnt love me" she said this somewhat jokinly...I think lol. She followed with "But now I see why you were always on it your computer....good job babe". Now, making over $10,000 a month my wife completely appreciates her time alone without me :)

Finally, Tenth, SET GOALS, when I first started this I decided that my goal was to make $100 a day. Once I did this, I revamped my ad, and automated the selling process. Then I set new goals, and reached them, and revamped. Any ebay biz is really like a full blown business. I purchased a new laptop, and now I bring it with me literally everywhere I go. I check ebay probably 50 times a day, briefly, but i do check it."
