    Hey,

So, I've been browsing eBay for a while and always seem to come across the sellers who are shifting high in volume but low profit margins. Making < £ per item. The sellers who are seller items for £1.95 inc P&P and so on.

It's always struck me of a bit of an oddity to go to the effort to pack/label and dispatch an item for pennies. That said I'm sure if you were efficient enough you could make a fair living as the maths is there.

So are any of you guys into this? If so how do you find it?

I used to mainly sell items where I would profit $70+ per item.

Then one day I went against what I always thought, and tried selling an item that costs around $18.00 to sell on eBay (including free postage) but would net me a profit of around $10/unit after fees. Normally I wouldn't consider doing anything to make $10 a pop, but I would have daily sales of 15-25 items sold..

So that quickly added up to a good amount of money to be making. It was an item with a lifetime, so once it's lifetime came to an end, sales decreased. There are other such items out there, at the end of the day: what I have learned is that I still want to chase higher profit per unit items, so that I don't need to sell as many, to make as much.

I don't want to deal with so many people. So, that's my opinion on the whole situation. I sold thousands of the above item, so I know roughly what I am talking about :p

Seems like they are working their asses off for little returns. I used to do ebay back in 2007 before they started putting fee's on everything.

Right now, i would not touch ebay with a shitty stick.
