Long time Lurker, first time poster!

Forgive me if this is the wrong forum.

As my title states, I have been a seller on eBay since 1999. I have 1,100 feedback (100%). I started out there selling things I had around the house, like VHS, DVDs, Comics, Action Figures, Sportscards, toys, etc. then I branched out over the years to re-selling thrifting and yard sale items. recently I became disabled and can only work from home for the next few months as I continue therapy treatments.

I am seeking advice from my fellow BHWers on how I can get into dropshipping and or consignment sales that can turn high profits for me. All from home and without spending upfront money that I do not have.

Well, considering with eBay that you don't get paid until 3 days after the item is delivered (with tracking info) it would be impossible to use the funds received from the item on eBay to buy the customers item to dropship to them. Normally you will list the item, and the user will buy it. You then use some upfront money to purchase the item they ordered and use the customers shipping info. You would then upload the tracking number from the order on PayPal and eBay. I'm not sure how it works on accounts as old as yours. If you receive the money and are able to spend it immediately then this would be entirely possible without any upfront investment.

plenty of options about for you, the biggest issue would likely be the shipping and waiting for the feedback, otherwise there are millions of products to hit

Is this something new to eBay? I'm not aware of the 3 day waiting period. I've gotten my payment as soon as the buyer pays.

Honestly the hardest part is sourcing the products. Do a lot of research and spend time looking at completed listings to see the demand for a certain product. If you can find some profitable niches, you'll find a way to make it work

The money will appear in your PayPal as soon as the customer pays for it, but it will remain "pending" (inaccessible) for 3-7 days after the item has been marked as delivered (in their mailbox) via tracking info. According to PayPal and from personal experience. But like I said, you've got yourself quite an old account there with an impressive amount of feedback, so I don't know if your funds are released as soon as the user makes the payment.

Yes, so this is usually what cripples most drop shippers. Because they don't have the money to buy the item and wait for PayPal to release the funds.
