Ebay pushing cases under the rug for me, because I'm a powerseller?

I got this e-mail earlier today from Ebay, informing me that they "had my back" and dismissed a Buyer Protection case against me. I always sell with 100% efficiency and in the best interest of the customer, but I didn't know Ebay had this kind of favoritism towards its sellers. Any thoughts?

We know you work hard to deliver great service to your customers -- and to keep the well-deserved benefits associated with your seller performance rating. That's why we have clear policies in place to make sure the system works as intended, and why we remove any impacts to your record when we know a buyer did not adhere to these policies.

We wanted you to know that in the last 2 months -- prior to your October performance evaluation now reflected in your seller dashboard -- we took the following action to benefit your account:
    • Removed 1 buyer protection cases
Note that these removals were the result of patterns identified by eBay's detection systems and/or cumulative reports from you and other sellers. They may be related to transactions that occurred any time over the past several months.

Hmm.. that's quite odd. I think probably they reviewed a customer's dispute manually and judged the customer was BSing. But from my (quite short) experience with eBay, they are usually on the customer's side rather than the seller's, so consider yourself lucky and keep up the good service for your customers!

I think that they want to protect all ebay sellers from other competitors that leaves negative feedback to the legit sellers.

Other competitors orders and even they receive the items, they will leave negative feedback.

Consider yourself very lucky, i've been in both sides (as a seller and buyer) and buyer has always won.

Nowadays I don't do business on ebay anymore, but it's nice to know that now sometimes sellers are also protected.

I have several stealth accounts and I received this same email on a handful of them. They all have a feedback score of 30 or less.

Well maybe from their eyes they sided with you. Sometimes they side with the buyer, and sometimes the seller.
