Ok, so Lon story short my legit account got suspended for buyer abuse even though i never abused anyone.

so i decided to make another ebay account.

I used a new IP from buyvcc, new name variation, new address, new phone, new email, new card, new user account.

i bought similar items but the the exact same on my old account that got suspended.

24 hours later after checking out on ebay i get an email saying, my account has been suspended indefinitely and all my listings have been removed.

i never used the account i list anything.

so i called ebay the dude said he has never seen a suspension like this before, he couldn't see any of the details or reason such as why it was suspended. He said he would file an appeal.

but in the email it said the ccount was suspended indefinitely so i was under the impression i couldn't appeal.

so I'm waiting for the appeal decision. Other then it being a mistake on ebay a part what could the reason be?

how could i it been linked to my old accounts?

os it because i bought an expensive item for about $700 as my first item?

I'm no eBay scholar but I'd be guessing that is the case right there. When I use anything eBay, FB, Amazon, etc that is a little stealth, I always slowly ramp it up.

No clue to be honest, I don't have enough background in that area to say but, with a stealth account, the common sense business acumen of "Pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered" is one to follow going forward.

If the guy who you talked to never saw anything like that before, then I wouldn't put any faith in him getting that account back. And if there's any chance for the account, then they'll probably make you submit documentation like ID, proof of address, etc. Indefinite suspensions can indeed be appealed, but it has to be for reasons other than being linked (because of course they're not going to think about reinstating an account they know belongs to a suspended user unless they think they made a mistake). Most likely you won't hear back from them unless you specifically call and ask about the status. And you'll likely get a different answer from each rep.

I honestly don't know what type of IPs buyvcc gives out, but if they are proxies then I would stay away from those types of IPs. You can just as easily change your home internet IP, use smartphone tethering, or various other better options.

But yes, the large purchase is what caused suspicion and made a rep look into your account. And that rep decided to suspend your account - either due to similar items, the large purchase, or a combination of both. Did you use your old Paypal account? Because sending $700 on a new Paypal account is also a huge red flag. And reusing an old Paypal account with a new eBay is an even bigger one.

Everything can be appealed. They just say that so you don't waste your time appealing.

Rep didn't "see anything like this" because he didn't suspend it. Their computer systems linked you and you automatically got suspended. And the computer system didn't tell the rep how you were suspended, that's probably why the rep "didn't know". Honestly, I wouldn't expect it back up.

And buying/selling a big purchase as your first purchase/sel is not a big risk. Everyone has to have a first purchase or first sell. Think the bigger issue is not having verified account and making big purchase. Or not providing shipping and withdrawing funds quickly from first sell.

    1. They're STILL trying to recover from when Meg Whitman f'ed it up by letting Chinese sellers get away with anything while squeezing US & UK sellers.

    2. Amazon is really tougher on sellers than eBay, but Amazon has always had more interest in protecting the sellers and buyers so they aren't getting hammered for doing the same thing as eBay.
