Some background, currently dropshipping with some solid success but am currently in search of software to really scale things up. Looking for people with insight into the listed services as well as any that work well that I didn't list.

    1) Pricematik: Created by a member here, but it seems they aren't active on this forum and I haven't found much information regarding actual use/results.

    2) PriceYak: Have heard some mixed things, per some it seems the creator just uses the services to track clients' listings that sell well and copy them. Also, the website/service recently underwent a change where it is now "invite only" and you need to submit a link to your ebay store to even be added to the waiting list.

    3) SkuGrid/Hydralister: Works well for a large number of sources, not just amazon, but doesn't seem to work too well for some of them. From what I've read the listings are poorly optimized and while you can bulk list a very large amount, you will have a poor sell-through rate it seems.

    4) Profit Scraper: Only came across this today through my searching for information on the above listed. Seems promising, currently reading through a couple threads on it.

    5) WebSeller Guru: Have found near nothing trying to search for this, headquartered in bulgaria.

    6) Dropship Domination: Admittedly I haven't done my due diligence here to really vet this service, from what I can tell thus far it appears to be mixed views.

    7) Creating own software: I have read a LOT of people who say they created their own, I don't have this expertise so for me it would have to be hiring someone, which I'm looking at more as an option in the future.

Currently, I'm in a bit of "analysis paralysis" where I'm just not sure which service to choose. I'm thinking of trying a few of them and seeing how it works out and reporting back my experiences, not sure if this could be an issue though with multiple services running concurrently on one account though. Also, it seems one of the potential threats that has been talked about regarding any service like this is the potential for the creator to just track all the listings of the people who sign up with them and copy the high performing one's leaving your sales hurting as a result. For me, while this may be a threat, it still comes down to risk vs reward.

Trying to create a discussion surrounding the different options, hopefully this can end up being a resource and helping other people with the same concerns.

    Thanks in advance.

Dropship domination is MLM, it's not really software to help you sell.

Noted, yea I just remember reading what someone was saying about it and how they were talking about it gave me the impression it was software similar to the other one's mentioned.

I'm not so sure Priceyak scales well. Had troubles buying giftcards several days in a row. Other than that, they have a whole bunch of resources like products to avoid for VERO and the like. They are nice to use for a little bit, but their repricing and purchasing will cut your margins, so if you can, it's best to move on to your own software.

Profit scraper can be *terrible* at matching ebay items to amazon items. You should use some additional criteria like picture similarity or UPC to identify these matches.

As for writing your own software, eBay gives you 5k API calls per day (per category of API, like Trading, Finding, etc.) to start with, and you can apply for 1.5mil calls when it's time to scale. Amazon's Product Advertising API is useful, but may not suit all of your needs.

Yea eventually it would be ideal to have custom software created for me. If I find I'm able to build on the success I'm currently having than that will be the next step. For now it's just searching for tools I can use to scale and grow. That's good to know, I'll keep using the extra criteria in mind if I go that route. Thanks for the response.

I highly recommend Profit Spy! ;-)

The service scans any category on Amazon and compares the products from that particular category to the exact same products that are selling on eBay (usually within 30 days as to substantiate product viability in the marketplace).

It gives you a ton of feedback on each item along with color-coded profit margins that quickly let you know if the item has a proven track record of selling well on eBay.

As a part of the service, we give you an Amazon price update tool that allows you to stay up-to-date with constant Amazon price fluctuations.

We offer a free demo for those who are highly interested. Check out my signature for details.

Watched the video, looks interesting from what I've seen. I'm currently looking into using Amazon (as you know) and having different tools to increase my ROI for my time invested is crucial. Once I get going I'll do the demo to get a better handle on it.

how do you get around the movement of funds to pay for the items. Amazon does not accept paypal for payment. I have tried this before and always had to pay up front out of my own money first then re-coup the costs when paypal released funds back to my account.

You could use a paypal account that gets its funds instantly, then use those funds to buy gift cards and then use those on amazon.

Just looked through the Softwares website, only UK US , has some nice features like exporting into CSV for TurboLister, but there is a big BUT:
I would also expect a 149$ Software to keep track if items are available or the price changed etc. Maybe you can scrap millions of Articles, but on the other hand they are useless if you can not track the items. So there would be additional costs at the end - if this feature will be implemented, than it sounds great. Otherwise you have to determine that you have to pay more than just for this software.

    b2t:

Im also looking for software, just wrote my own simple piece of code to check if Items are available. It takes Amazon Links from a txt file and checks if it is available. Thinking about bringing push notifications to android if item is out of stock, deleting the item from ebay is currently above my coding skills :p

First off, i want to thank you. You can track, update, export and change manually products that are saved into database from database module. Soon i will share also tutorial videos, I believe it will be more clear to understand with videos.
And one more thing, the software has no monthly fees and every week we are updating Aura Profit Hunter, because as you did, we re receiving very positive feedback and suggestions and we are changing or adding that features.
    By the way, PM sent.
    Thanks.

Thanks for posting this thread it has been extremely informative and I hope it continues. Here are my thoughts as a new drop shipper. I am currently looking for this kind of time saving software and I've been looking at all the solutions mentioned here along with a few others I found online. I have yet to find one that includes all the features I would like at the right pricing, so I understand the talk of writing your own, but that is not an option for me as I am not a programmer. The solutions offered here are attractive offering really useful time saving features for example to find and quickly list profitable items on eBay and my favourite feature to automatically track and adjust my eBay prices when Amazon prices change and even remove an eBay listing automatically when Amazon goes OOS (out of stock). These are really useful tools and I want them! The main problem for me is with their pricing which nearly all are based on a recurring monthly fee according to the number of items listed/tracked. This adds a substantial cost to your sales, which contrary to what they say if you do pass these onto the customer you would become less competitive. It defeats the object of drop shipping if you can't exploit the pricing and make a profit! Profits are therefore very tight to begin with and what these solutions need is a reasonable purchase price for their software not a price per month for items listed/tracked. I understand the need to recover their costs and make a profit but I suggest they would be better off by raising revenue through offering additional features or performance upgrades or higher levels of customer support etc rather than trying to take a cut of their customers' thin profits. When anyone finds such a solution please let me know. I'm still looking. Thanks!

Ok, but as I understand it you will still have to manually check your listings constantly in case the price rises or if an item became OOS. Some other solutions do that automatically adjusting the price of your items on eBay when the Amazon price changes and can even remove an eBay item from your listings when Amazon goes OOS. I could live with a small loss if there is an occasional price rise to a few of my items, but if one of my eBay listings goes OOS on Amazon and someone buys the item before I can remove it on eBay I have a BIG problem. I would have to issue a refund and risk building up negative feedback. Please add an automated price tracker/OOS option to APH.

Guys you can update data automatically thanks to excel and its feature 'import data from the web'.
With a click of a button you can refresh all the prices you imported at once.
There are many tutos on the web, for ex this video

Alright sounds like this is the perfect place to post.

I need something to take the order from Amazon and automatically process it (purchase from) ebay and then repost tracking to amazon when available. Have been searching for days not but I can't find ANYTHING. Please let me know if anything like this exists at all or what's the closest I can get.

    Thanks,

    M.D
