Due to late delivery ebay buyer received full refund from ebay. However item arrived a bit later so now buyer has my item AND money. I have tracking number and appealed this to eBay. I have also contacted buyer asking to return item or funds back. Buyer kept saying that is working a lot and will post item back as soon as will have a chance. Buyer kept saying the same for 1 month. I have once again contacted eBay and received buyer's mobile phone number. Today called to the buyer and one hella rude women picked up the phone and started to blame me and then hanged up. I have made a follow up call this evening and she said she reported me to local police because of harassent. Wtf? I did not threaten her or been bully. Should I visit my local police station and try to explain the situation? Could anyone please help and advice whats the best way to deal with situation like this? I am based in UK, buyer as well.

Fucking fraudster. This is getting worse by the day. I am outside the USA and I used to buy from Ebay all the time, no problems. All of a sudden sellers started asking where I was from, when I answered they said douchebags from my region had been doing exactly this. Receiving the items, then getting chargebacks. Assholes ruined it for everyone.

Glad to hear your customer is in the UK, you then have a good chance to make this right.

I'm not sure how ebay works in that situation, whether they will be able to get the money back for you. If you don't get the money back, report the buyer to the police for either theft or fraud, because that is what they are guilty of. You have their name and address so it shouldn't be too difficult for them to track the person down.

Don't worry about harassment, even if they did report you that wouldn't stick. A theft charge against them would stick though.

I was hit from the other side of this a few months ago.

Bought from EBay paid with Paypal .. guys ships item with USPS - they said delivered item .. but never received it.

So I was out the money and the product .. Paypal said tough luck to me and had to go to Police - nothing happened.

Complete waste of my time - only ever shop thru Amazon after that.

This isn't a good situation and is a tough one to deal with. Did you receive payment for the item through PayPal? If so, I'd open a dispute and provide whatever information you have to substantiate your claim(s).

Thank for quick response everyone! I believe I will get my item or funds back. I am just thinking about police, as I said she reported me to police because of harassement, which not true. I did not threaten her nor I used offensive language. I just do not really wanna police to dig in to my online business because of her report :/

False police communication will get her in a sea of trouble.

She's a pro: she's defending by attacking you first, claiming harassment and so on....don't worry, the cops will be onto her in no time, they're used to a thousand such cases per month probably.

Most likely she's just bluffing, using it as a scare tactic. She's probably done this numerous times, and the police card is what gets people to give up and stop pursuing their money or product back. You had a legitimate reason to call her, nothing wrong on your end legally. If I were you, I'd record any future conversations you have with her though - just to be safe.

She definitely has some dodgy experience in all this: her account has only few feedback but it feels like she knows ebay TOS and other stuff by heart. She also tried to push me using morale saying shes working very hard all week long and I should not disturb her with my messages and so on... I think I will just wait for the outcome, eBay customer support is currently investigating my appeal. Hope not gonna need to waste my time and energy with police. Never thought I could face such a troublemaker ebay buyer Woman

Classic buyer fraud bullshit we are all dealing with. It is like the negative SEO of online retailing.
Get you shipping in order and do not allow these pieces of shit to do this too you.

Why didnt you reverse the shipment once the payment was reversed?
Anyways shes obviously in the wrong, i dont think shes a pro because she used her real address and # on ebay, and shes scared because shes using the "I Called the Police" excuse or my favorite she will probably be using next "My (Insert family member) is a police officer". You gave her the opportunity to steal from you and she took it. At least you have her address and phone number if she ends up scamming you, you know who she is. Maybe you can make a website about her and destroy her name.

Ebay buyer protection is ridiculous. You have 7 days to response case. Although you have tracking number the case still on buyer side. Unless the buyer open dispute through paypal which is paypal will take care and consider all things before decide their decision. But damn it i still hate paypal lol

So i just want say just let it goes. The buyer won't return or pay you. If you want hire a lawyer that will cost you a lot of money. Talk to ebay? They don't even care.

Nothing you can do about it now. Police won't solve anything. You just need to learn from your mistakes for the next times and make sure not to fall into that trap again.

I highly doubt she reported you to the police. Better wait for some time to see what will ebay do for you and if no luck try reporting her to the police for theft/fraud as that might bring you some success or atleast might scare her off to do such things to other people again when the cops knock on her door

If you have a tracking number on the product, ebay should be tracking your side if it has shown as delivered? Is it because the case was already closed once so it cant be opened again?

Report her to the police for theft. Reporting to the cops don't cost a dime so that could be done.
After reporting, message her that you have reported her to the police. That should put some fear into her.
Put up her name (not her address) in some website and tell your story, put it in social media so that people will be aware of this lunatic woman.

Lunatic woman such as this makes the online jobs harder. They also make police work harder because the police must go through an nonexistent crime. Hopefully false reporting to the cops could be put on her lunatic head.
