Ebay Blackhat Promotion Methods

What are the best ways to promote your actual listings. I have seen a few guys floating around on ebay that are doing something to raise their bids very quickly and it's not shil bidding. Could you use xrumer/ scrapebox? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Do you have more information, what are you referring to exactly? How do you know they are "doing something" for that?

when I say he is "doing something" I mean they are doing work to draw people to the listings very quickly... the views are above normal compared to other products from the same niche (which, by proxy, is going to increase the number of bids) I work for a guy doing this and he said he uses blackhat techniques I'm just trying to figure out what that would be

any one know more methods?
