I'm trying to find out how to optimize my listing to get as many views as possible to my auctions. Now, would I use the same principles here as if I were doing SEO for google? I realize that the default listings are sorted by remaining time left, but i'd like to increase the amount of searches my listing would come up for using many different keywords & combinations of keywords. Does ebay just return results for keywords that are in the title or do they look at the description content also? Does keyword density or anything else like that make any difference with ebay?

    Thanks!

Optimizing title is important try this tool eBay Research Lab Bayestimator

Tool gives you keyword suggestions and rankings. You can add or remove keywords and even get catagory suggestions.
Titles do show in search engine, not only on eBay but in google.
