Up to 20 years in prison. I do still believe the US have unrealistic prison timeframes :)

Pretty brutal. 20 years in prison for a "cyber crime", is actually much more likely than a sentence for murder :/

Its because a murder is against a person and this crime is against big business.

20 years is the max sentence for it he will most likely not get the full 20 years, reporters like to make it seem like that. If he is willing to pay back as much as possible to ebay, and since he already pleaded guilty he could probably get at the most 3 years in prison.

This is such a joke. Cookie stuffing isn't illegal and he didn't get hit with cookie stuffing, it was for wire fraud. Not to mention, this was like 5 years ago

Goes to show what eBay are really like. They don't give a damn about you, all they want is your money.

if he'd taken half of that money and ran, he would be okay right now.
this reminds me of those dealers who make millions, but then get caught
because they don't know when to quit.

I think that regardless of the time they quit, the odds are that somehow will slap the line.
