    go to my site at destintonight.com sign up for free. Upload a video and then copy the embed code. Then paste this in whatever site you want it to appear in. You can also do this with youtube, etc.

    amber0855 Thanks, but I could do that with YouTube. I want to host the video myself.

    Carson, I am using iFrames, but I need the code for the page. I am pretty sure that the code depends on the flv player. I am trying to find a simple way to get it done. It's for a client's site, so I would prefer not to use a player that has advertising (is unbranded).

    I'll PM you a link where I have an flv embedded.. As for hosting I use Amazon S3 for the actual file and player, then just call it from the html

    what plugin are you using? if its all video plugin which is possibly the most popular and you want to add youtube video

    first make sure the plugin is enabled

    if your using j1.0 goto mambots and make sure the plugin you are using is enabled

    if your using j1.5 you will need to goto extensions -> plugin manager

    without enabling your plugin its simply not going to work

    so after checking your plugin is enabled and for this instance you are using allvideo plugin then you will call the video by placing the following in your content

    {youtube}youtube id here ie GXod1JglqdU{/youtube}

    however remember if your trying to place the video in a custom module its not going to work as custom modules do not have plugins enabled in them for some reason, and you will have to use something like the longtailvideo player as i originally mentioned or embed your own flash media player into your module...

    having re-read your post its sounds as though you are trying to place the video in a module - so this should answer your question...
    hth

    if you not using allvideoplugin then let me know which plugin you are using and i will probably be able to help you
