heres a simple method that I just thought of which I believe is top quality.

    Step1
Sign up for some online casino affiliate program(s).

    Step2
Buy a domain that sounds like an online casino and redirect it to your casino offer.

    Step3
Get a shitload of business cards for your domain. Make them look nice.

    Step4
Hand them out all over the place at an actual casino, leave them on slot machines, tape them in the bathroom stalls.

    Step5
Wait for the commissions to roll in.

I've already discussed this method on bhw arthas. I am going to take a pic with me and my business cards i got from vista print yesterday right now. 250 cards for chump change ;)

Warning, even one business card can get you fucked up. Your url will be tracked to you, unless u got it set on private, or better yet have an anonymous corporation for $999 from UptownBulker. What i did was put my email on the biz cards.

It's risky. But high risk = great reward.

and my idea wasnt inspired by feva, he inspired me with a twist on the casino idea anyways. tried your idea on london gumtree viva, no success, but that was just one try, maybe if i got a 3 pound sticky on the front page it would work out.

I don't see what's risky about it at all?

Affiliate marketing is not illegal although sometimes immoral ;)

Having business cards with a URL on it that leads to casinos is hardly risky. If your site is loaded with naughty BH stuff, you could be asking for trouble.

I actually think this is a great idea AND a great excuse to visit the local casino :)

Dude....you're walking into a casino passing out cards trying to STEAL their customers...

Yeah, you're probably right, they won't care...

    Are you serious?

What's the NEXT "blackhat offline" idea??? Buy a food cart and walk into McDonalds, and then BK? LOL!

You think this idea rocks because you've NEVER actually tried it. Drop a benjamin on business cards and walk into the casino. Start handing them out....just wait and see what happens.

Please, please, please leave them on slot machines and tape them in different spots around the casino. Do it!

But like some guy said in the other post - "Make sure you act "sneaky" - cuz lord knows there aren't any frickin' cameras in a frickin' casino, bro.

Casinos don't exactly like online poker sites and online gambling, they are kinda competing against each other. They also don't like people soliciting at their casino, especially when they are soliciting for online gambling.

They're trying to run a business and make money. They aren't just goin to let you stroll in their and steal their customers.

ok, that is a legitimate concern. So shift your venue. There are plenty of clubs and pubs that have slot machines or other gambling stuff. Sure, you might get asked to stop soliciting or leave, big deal. Whatcha gonna do, cry FFS?

    Whatever....who cares?

It still doesn't make this a good idea. I hope one of you guys walks into a really "old school" casino and does this. Then you can make a post titled "Blackhat Method to get a Black Eye."

Trust me there are plenty of cameras in the garages. Thats where most of the suicides take place.

The only way I had success doing this was by getting to know people first and then telling them about my site and the sites I was promoting.

Very slow and methodical, and I did it while playing poker almost full time. But adding several steady players and a couple degenerates started to add up and really build a nice 2nd income, part time.

I'm not trying to be a dick. Just trying to save some of you the hassles I went thru.

I agree that there would be a lot of risk going into a casino and trying to poach customers from them. Two different ways to gamble but you and the casino are competing for the same gambling dollars. A better place to start might be at a location where groups of people wait to get on a bus to be taken to a casino etc...drop them in taxis etc.

One thing that some guys up here are doing is rolling online and offline business into one. They own a poker supply store so they make money flogging that stuff offline and online. They go to Poker Stars and work out a deal where they front the prize money for a land based freeroll poker tourney. To register, you have to submit your Poker Stars username (can be a free account). All info has to be correct in the registration to collect prize money if you qualify. So basically you are signing up under the tourney director's affiliate link and they will make money if you deposit.

This method takes more work but you can clean up if you can get a cheap facility with sponsors etc. If you have a little bar going, you can make a lot of the money back quickly also....find lots of volunteers and you are set. I haven't read all the posts in the other thread but I assume this method is a lot more whitehat than the other ones mentioned.

Speaking from experience, advertising an online casino offline can be like pissing in the wind. Unless you are truly incentivizing them to come and play, most will just ignore the offer. If they gamble, they know all about online casinos already (with a few exceptions of course). This is also important because if they live near a casino, there is less incentive to play online in the first place. You can make some money, you just have to keep an eye on the ROI. Good luck guys...keep us posted :)

    Excellent post.

Absolute Poker used to let you run tourneys for players you recruited, they would just take the Prize Pool out of your commissions. New players had to deposit $50 or $100 bucks to be eligible and then the prize pool was $500 or $1,000....or more if you had a huge list.

That guy that ran the "Roy Rounder" email list/newsletter did this and the prize pool was $5 or $10K. I remember because I was on his list and used to see what he was up to in terms of affiliate stuff.

I remember thinking, "This guy's list must be HUGE."

Hosting tournaments at your house or a bar, maybe you know someone who owns a bar? But it's best to stay low-key. The bigger it is, the more attention it gets, the more likelihood there is for attention from the po-lice.

Like you said, most guys who gamble have heard of online poker. You aren't going to run into too many people who snatch you flier and say, "Online casinos!!! Who knew?!?!?" Doesn't happen.

You hit in on the head, the key is incentives. My site was a private site and the only way you could join was if you were invited by me or referred by someone I invited. I gave a serious bonus to guys who signed up under me, depending on how hard it was to recruit them. Some guys were excited to get an extra $50 and a t-shirt to sign up, others wanted more.

The problem seems to be that everyone is looking to get rich quick. Hand out some fliers and get rich. It just doesn't work that way. It's a business and those who run it like one make money, those who don't....don't.
