Easy PR6 Do-Follow Links

Hello BHW,

Just wanted to share an easy method I use to collect a few do-follow links from a PR6 domain.

If you are familiar with the Steam gaming platform, you will know that you can create public profiles for your free accounts.

Here is what you need to do:

Download and Install Steam for free from their website.
At program launch click create new account.
Fill in the basic information, valid email is needed to verify the account "Only necessary to ensure the account wont be deleted down the road to free up room"
After logging in: Select Community at the top and click the green "setup my steam ID" button inside the page.
At the bottom you can place three links with anchor text, click save and you're done.
Enjoy!

Three easy backlinks in under a minute! Afterwards, just log out from the menu inside the application and create a new account for three more links. Rinse and Repeat!

Additional: On the profile page you can set your own custom ID. Change it to your keyword or variation to give the backlinks some URL relevance.

I also cant find my link on google.

Madi123,

Just setting the links in your steam community profile is all you need. I've done this with fresh account's multiple times without any posts on the forum. You also need to give them time to show up as back links, especially with Google! They do show up fairly quick in Yahoo! Site explorer. No need to Ping or RSS the page.

Some times they will delete you if you have links in your posts though. Some allow it on the sigs and some don't read the rules before you start posting links.

Google takes a long time to index/show back links. YSE! shows my links but it does take some time. Steamcommunity has hundreds of thousands of profiles that I doubt get indexed daily or even weekly. Just set the links and forget it, they will show up eventually. If you want to speed the indexing up you could try pinging or putting the links in an RSS Feed to submit.

I've had a Steam account for 4 years, and I never thought of doing this.. I'd prefer some confirmation on it working before I go out and try though, because I don't even have Steam installed on this computer.
