"Easy-Hide-IP - Secures and Anonymizes all your internet connections and allows you to: Surf any Web Sites, Instant Messenger and Chat services, Web-based Email services, Newsgroups, Web Blogs and Forums. Your Identity is Secure, Protected, and Anonymized."

Think about it... "Your Identity is Secure, Protected, and Anonymized"... This is like paying someone to commit a crime... they get caught... first thing that happens is they tell on you... this is exactly why this software does not work... they might not have your exact ip, but they have access to DNS records... (Your IP > DNS > masked ip (proxy) > target < masked ip (proxy) < DNS < Your IP) by using a tool to mask your identity you are admitting you are up to no good.. it is like walking into a bank with a bag in your hand and a mask on... whether you rob the bank or not, you are presumed guilty...

Tools that claim to mask an ip are just playing on peoples ignorance of computer security... download this tool and monitor it with a protocol analyzer and you will see that this tool is probably using you as a zombie and you may be called to court for a crime you did not commit... user beware... this software can cause the adverse affect... use with caution...

"i'm wondering if there is anything like this right now that can be installed on the server? " maybe you are talking about a proxy? this program uses your computer as a proxy, kind of like how Skype uses your computer to route calls... the only way to be anonymous is to fly to a 3rd world country, go to a library, access a proxy and hope you are not on camera...

well i'm just talking about running a server program like Blog Solution would be nice if there are a rotation type of ware that can be implemented on the server. Since Blog Solution is running on the server.

As far as I know there are javascripts that can reveal your local IP, and cookies can also identify you.
Is this 'Easy-Hide-IP' any better than Tor / vidalia bundle combined with cookie culler and noscript? Any opinion?

I don't think even that is possible. Are there any 3rd world countries that have libraries? Most of them can barely afford hospitals let alone libraries.

They have libraries but not many books. The libraries are actually in better condition than the hospitals because...nobody ever uses them.

And I don't think these Hide IP programs are all they're cracked up to be. I've used several but I always come back to TOR because these programs never seem to come with decent proxies.

You use tor? I beleive it is very difficult to set up so do you have lots of technical knowledge, are you a network engineer?

There's nothing to it if you download the Vidalia package so that Privoxy runs while TOR is enabled then just load the tor plugin to your Firefox browser. Click on and off at will. Anybody can do it.

Thanks Battman. It sure has got much easier to TOR now. I knew a someone who had tried but found it difficult, that was two years ago. With this new tool anyone can use it.

If you are trying to be anonymous, do not use FireFox. FireFox is open source and leaves footprints all over the Internet. The feds will just run encase... To be "anonymous" just do some war driving.
