Hello.

Lets say that I've found an easy competition keyword - XXX (at 10 KD by ahrefs).

When doing SERP analysis, I find pretty strong domains (30+ DR) ranking for this keyword. However, that exact keyword is not in their URL neither in title nor paragraphs.

Can I consider this keyword easy-to-rank?

Keyword Revealer tool is decent for finding which pages are using keywords in URL, meta, H1 etc.

You would look for a few things from your competitors on the first page of Google for that keyword:

- On-page SEO.
- Backlinks to that specific page.
- Content length/quality.

keyword in URL has not been mattering for SEO for several years.

And many times the same goes for keyword in title, as well. In tough niches, or for competitive keywords the topical relevancy and strength of the domain, as well as the quality of the content are much more important than the keyword in title, even though on-page SEO is still important and you should still use the keyword in title :)

Anyway, based on the little data you've provided I would say that the keyword is not easy to rank, but again, this is based on the current info that you've provided. I can easily change my opinion when I have more info, such as:

- what niche you're in
- what types of websites rank in top 5 for that keyword (affiliate sites, blogs, ecom, big brands, UGC, forums, youtube, etc)
- how good the content of your competition is for that keyword
- how good the on-page and off-page SEO of both you, and your competitors is, etc...

Yes, you can consider this keyword easy-to-rank. If It has a very small description and doesn't have any high DR competitors on SERP.

A keyword is easy to rank if it is at least 1 of the following:
  • The Allintitle is Low
  • The Competitor Backlink is Low
  • Competitor Articles Words Count is low.
  • The Quality of Post Poor
