Couple times a month I want to browse with my IP hidden. But if I get one of these free proxies, they are always slow as hell. Free anon web surfing never shows the capatcha or just doesn't work. And some sites block TOR.
What's a super easy way I can browse anonymously a couple times a month? Rather not pay either for how rare I use it.

Buy one dedicated IP
Install falcon proxy on your browser.
Setup the plugin, its very easy you just enter the proxy and the port.
You will have a little icon in top right that you can click and you are immediately browsing the net with the proxy.
When your done, just click the icon to shutdown the proxy and continue browsing as your own IP.

I am using it, and its very handy and easy.

Thanks.
Excuse my ignorance. But is there any way to hide the fact that I'm on a proxy? Like is there any option that would let me post on a forum and they would just think I was an American, rather than behind a proxy? Does VPN do that or is it detectable?

Yes, that is the purpose of the proxy, its a IP from other place.
Mine is from LA but I live in Europe.

VPN is something you use if your country or your internet provider restricted you from entering specific sites.
Usually people use them for torrents.

But I've been on sites where they can detect I'm using a proxy.

That's because you're using a shitty free proxy. You won't have this problem with a paid dedicated proxy with most of the providers here on BHW.

If you are using public proxy, but not dedicated. Some sites servers can check if the request is coming from an IP that is a known proxy. WhatsMyIP probably has a big list of these, including common ones like HideMyAss.

Great, thanks for the help.

I have a question.
How do you not now this stuff? You are here from 2008 and you have been thanked 1K+ times, I am confused right now.

Try using VPN's. For free versions, I think hotspot shield still offers one.

If you decide to go the paid route, you can buy one as low as $3.5 (1ip). Usually the paid versions have a better uptime and speed than the free version. Well, that's been my experience anyways.

Since you only need it a few times a month just download any free vpn software, no need to pay for a proxy.
Heres a few ive tried all work great for basic surfing.
-SurfEasy
-Cyberghost
-Spotflux

^^Thanks. I'll check it out.

Don't know how to use scrapebox/GSA either. I always outsource that kind of work.
Doing something very specific that I need done properly so can't outsource it.

Surfeasy looks to work well, the other two I'm having problems connecting to, but I can just use the one.

You cant have all 3 VPN's installed at the same time it will create problems.

i prefer this one:
Code:
http://hola.org/
it's a VPN service, but a rather interesting one
basically it's a browser addon, so you don't have to install anything more than a little addon, it doesn't encrypt all your traffic, but you can append a VPN server for every site you wish and from that point if you visit the site, you'll do it so through the VPN ip, but the rest of your browsing and other internet traffic will stay intact
they offer free 1 month premium as long as you invite one of your FB friends (you can be creative to leverage this offer :) )

You can still use AOL's home network. It's basically a USA VPN for free. All you do is install the AOL client and then add a connection profile with it. There's a tutorial on here on how to do it if you're interested.
