Hey guys If we're selling to digital products like ebook what's the best merchant to use so that some buyer would not place a dispute/authorize payment/chargeback, jus for the sake of getting money back.

Do u recommend ejunkie or plimus?

They can still chargeback with these two. I thought that they were safe but no they are not.

Accept payments that cannot chargeback, E.g. WU.

Chargebacks will always happen, there is no way around this, even by shipping a physical product they can still dispute the transaction with their CC company.

If you want more sales and get some chargebacks then go for paypal.

If you want hardly any sales and no chargebacks go for liberty reserve / WU.

anyone can still chargeback with paypal regardless whether you use the same or different processor. The only benefit of using Plimus is that you won't need to personally deal with paypal.

My name is misterajc and I am a PayPal codependent. We've had our rough patches in the past - accounts suspended, charges reversed - but for some reason I keep coming back. Somehow I just can't live without that one click payment button, those easy subscriptions and that vast curvaceous user base. It's a love hate relationship I know, but I've never experienced anything else like it, and I keep coming back for more.

    Well put.

I can speak from experience in the retail e-commerce world that chargebacks are just a part of business. They are becoming more and more common but shouldn't scare you away from a particular payment processor; even the big guys allow chargebacks.

As people have mentioned, chargebacks are a fact of life online. Plimus has a solid fraud management system in place, which broadly speaking means that we catch people who are intending to defraud you ahead of time - but there's no real way to absolutely avoid chargebacks if you sell on the Internet.

Building on an earlier comment, the advantage to using Plimus (I'm a Plimus person in case you hadn't guessed!) is that we take care of the back-office effort for you.

If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me at simonj@plimus.com.

You can also try FastSpring E-Commerce. Our fraud check is real-time, as opposed to manual order verification which can lead to lost sales and poor goodwill as customers are contacted and at times need to wait a day or two before they can proceed with their purchase, assuming it does end up completing in the end. Our anti-fraud screening is highly effective, minimizes your chargebacks when possible, and maximizes the number of completed orders you'll receive.
