I have been looking around at several ideas for starting an e-commerce website vs. starting a blog and running some type of advertisement on it. I know this is a very general question, but which one do you think will require more time commitment to get going? It seems to be a blog will require less time and money but that might mean the return will be less.

e-commerce would be way more time/commitment than a blog. Blogs might return less, but you can create hundreds of them. it all adds up

I run both and the blogs and the simple landingpages make me more money that my e-commerce because I have more of them and they cover more niches.

Although the e-commerce daily handling is on auto-pilot it needs frequently updates with new stuff to make it appear alive and kicking.
Otherwise it will soon look like one of those deserted ghost town sites that are scattered all over the Net.

Yes i agree, with Poll factory. If you dont have allot of time to put in then create blogs.

For example right now I have one blog, and am working on getting it up to a decent profit per week. So that I can take what I learned from it and mass produce!

Hmm... Okay then I think I would like to start blogging and get profit from it then maybe later set up my ecommerce site..

Thanks guys!
